I want to get filler, what activities should I avoid before and after? When is the best time to have it done?

When getting filler, it's important to avoid any dental work for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment. For 2 weeks after your treatment, avoid any activities that will put direct pressure on the treatment area. For several days after your treatment avoid intense workouts and extreme heat. Pressure changes (i.e. flying) within 24 hours of your procedure may cause additional discomfort. Mild bruising and swelling can occur and typically disappear within 2 weeks. So if you have family photos or a big presentation... give us a call to help you schedule your filler around these events!

What is a lip flip?

A lip flip is strategically placed neurotoxin, such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, just above the upper lip. This relaxes specific muscles giving the appearance of a fuller upper lip. Unlike filler, it typically only lasts around 3 months. At just $75 it's also a less expensive option and many people find it's a great way to see if they'd like slightly fuller looking lips with an inexpensive and temporary treatment. To really compare options, we recommend a consultation with one of our expert injectors.

I heard Botox can be used to make me less sweaty! is that true?

YES! That is absolutely true! Neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, can be strategically injected into armpits and other areas to reduce excessive sweating (aka hyperhydrosis).

My red sharps container is full. What should I do?

Having a sharps container is very important! This is where to put any used needles after injecting. So if you're using needles to administer your medication at home, make sure you use one of these! We'll provide one for you if we prescribe any injectable medication - free of charge. When your sharps container is full, there area several places in the Quad Cities you can take them to. Our clients can bring in their full container for disposal for just $10 and we'll give you a brand new one for free. Otherwise, QuadCitizens can take have their sharps containers swapped out at the Davenport Recycling Center for free. 5640 Carey Ave., Davenport 563-386-9575
