What Is a Facial at Mint?

A facial at Mint is a customized skin treatment that starts with an actual assessment of your skin, not a one-size-fits-all menu item. Your aesthetician evaluates your concerns (dullness, congestion, texture, sensitivity, aging) and matches you to the right treatment, depth, and product combination.

Options range from a quick 30-minute Express Facial to the Diamond Glow medical-grade infusion. We also offer dermaplane (manual exfoliation), chemical peels (face or body), and Celluma LED light therapy.

This is not a spa-day relaxation facial that smells nice and does nothing. This is real skin work.

You've Been Getting "Facials" That Are Really Just Massages

The wellness-spa industry has been selling skin care as a relaxation experience for years. Soft music, fancy oils, and a lavender mask is a nice 60 minutes. It is not a treatment that addresses your skin's actual needs.

A real facial should leave your skin visibly different. Clearer, brighter, smoother, and reset. If you've been paying for "facials" and your skin looks the same in the mirror three days later, you have not been getting facials. You've been getting massages.

We can do both. But we'd rather your skin actually improve.

How We Do Tox at Mint

Step one | Book your FACIAL

Or come in for a quick skin consult if you're not sure which option is right for you. Tell us what your skin's been doing lately — breakouts, dullness, dryness, sensitivity, or just needing a reset.

Step two | We assess and match you to the right treatment.

Your aesthetician examines your skin in person and builds the facial around what's actually going on, including product depth, exfoliation type, and any add-ons like Celluma, dermaplane, or masks. Then we treat you depending on what you booked.

Step three | Walk out with brighter, clearer, smoother skin.

The kind of glow your coworkers notice on Monday morning, plus a clear roadmap for keeping it.

Who Facials Are For

Facials at Mint are for adults dealing with:

  • Dull or congested skin

  • Surface texture and roughness

  • Mild acne and breakouts

  • Dehydrated skin

  • Sun damage and hyperpigmentation

  • Sensitivity or redness

  • Pre-event glow (weddings, photos, travel)

  • Skin maintenance between bigger treatments (like microneedling or peels)

  • Patients who want professional skin care but aren't ready for injectables yet

  • Anyone tired of $200 facials that don't actually change anything

Our Menu of Facials

Express Facial

Quick 30-minute cleanse, exfoliation, mask, and moisture treatment. Great for maintenance or a pre-event glow.

Chemical Peel

Targeted exfoliation using glycolic, lactic, salicylic, or TCA acids. Levels range from light (no downtime) to medium-depth (some peeling for 3 to 5 days). Body peels available for back, chest, and hands.

Custom Facial

60-minute customized facial based on your aesthetician's skin assessment. Includes deep cleansing, exfoliation, extractions if needed, treatment mask, and finishing products.

Diamond Glow Facial

Medical-grade facial that exfoliates, extracts impurities, and infuses serums simultaneously. Skin looks visibly brighter and tighter the same day. One of our most-requested treatments.

Dermaplane Facial

Manual exfoliation that removes dead skin and the fine "peach fuzz" hair on your face. Skin looks instantly brighter and makeup applies more smoothly afterward.

  • Diamond Glow on Body is available for chest, back, and other body areas. Pricing varies.

  • Celluma LED Light Therapy can be added to any facial as a finishing treatment. It calms inflammation, supports healing, and boosts the results of whatever was done before it.

What to Expect

  • Before your appointment

    • Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids 3 to 5 days before chemical peels or dermaplane

    • Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks before peels

    • Come without makeup if possible

    • Hydrate

  • During the appointment:

    • Skin assessment with your aesthetician

    • Optional add-ons (LED, masks, hand and arm massage)

    • Total time: 30 minutes (Express) to 75 minutes (Diamond Glow with Celluma)

  • After your appointment:

    • Most facials have zero downtime

    • Chemical peels at higher depths may produce 3 to 5 days of light peeling

    • Avoid heavy workouts, sun, and active skincare for 24 to 48 hours

    • Drink water, use gentle products, wear sunscreen

Real Skin Work, From an Aesthetician Patients Ask For By Name

Facials, dermaplane, chemical peels, and Diamond Glow at Mint are performed by Lori Caruso, our licensed aesthetician and skin care lead. Patients consistently call out Lori by name in their reviews. She matches treatments to actual skin needs (not a package upsell) and builds long-term skin plans for patients who want results that compound over time.

Mint is led by Dr. Sanjay Sundar, MD (Medical Director) and Rachel Sundar, RN (Founder), with Nurse Practitioner Nikki Goff, DNP, on the clinical team. The full team supports Lori with medical oversight when skin issues overlap with hormonal, inflammatory, or nutritional contributors, which they often do.
