About Mint Aesthetics + Wellness

Wellness and aesthetics, optimized together, by one team that treats the whole you.

Why We Built Mint

When Sanjay and Rachel talk about why they opened Mint, they say the same thing: the bar for wellness in the Quad Cities was set too low.

Most providers prescribe first and hope for the best. Hormones get refilled without anyone running new labs. Botox gets administered to women who haven't been asked about their sleep. Weight loss shots get sold without anyone tracking outcomes. The two halves of how a person looks and feels are treated in two different rooms, by people who never compare notes.

Sanjay is a Medical Doctor (MD). Rachel is a Registered Nurse (RN), a perimenopausal mom of four, and the host of the Ask Nurse Rachel YouTube channel where she walks viewers through hormones, peptides, and weight loss medications. They opened Mint to give Quad Cities patients an alternative: a clinic that runs the labs, looks at the data, and treats the whole person under one roof.

The clinic sits on Competition Drive in Bettendorf. Inside, the clinical team includes Nurse Practitioner Nikki Goff, DNP, and aesthetician Lori Caruso, with Brooke running the front of house. Together they care for multi-generational families across the Quad Cities, plus patients who do their wellness check-ins virtually from out of state, including Florida.

Mint exists for the patient who has been treated like a checkbox and is ready for a team that actually keeps the whole picture.

What We Believe

  • Two men at a medical facility, with one man helping the other to stand or get into a medical exam room, near an electrical panel sign.

    Test before you treat.

Every wellness plan at Mint starts with labs and biometric analysis. Not a questionnaire, not a hunch, not a refill. We don't recommend anything until we know who you are and what your body is actually doing.

  • A woman receiving a tattoo on her face from a tattoo artist wearing black gloves.

Wellness and aesthetics belong in the same building.

How you feel and how you look are connected. Hormones affect your skin. Stress affects your weight. Sleep affects everything. So we treat them as one practice, with one team, instead of pretending they live in different rooms.

  • Two people sitting in a room, one man facing the camera, speaking while the other person is partially visible with long red hair, both holding tablets.

    Listen first.

The most useful thing we do in a consult is shut up and pay attention. The plan comes from what we hear, not from what's on a menu.

  • A person holding a medical or informational pamphlet, seated with other people in a meeting or waiting room setting.

    Education is part of care.

Every patient leaves with more knowledge than they came in with. Our YouTube channel is free for the same reason: people deserve to understand what is happening inside their bodies, whether they're our patient or not.

Meet the Team

  • A man with a bald head, dark eyebrows, and a light brown complexion smiling at the camera, wearing a navy blue medical scrubs and a silver wristwatch, standing against a plain light gray wall.

    Dr. Sanjay Sundar, MD

Medical Director and co-founder. Sanjay leads the clinical side of Mint and oversees every wellness protocol. He believes wellness care should be run on objective evidence: lab data, biometric analysis, and a real conversation. He started Mint because the bar around here was set too low and his patients deserved better.

  • Smiling woman in black scrubs standing indoors against a gray wall.

    Rachel Sundar, RN

Founder and co-owner. Rachel runs the practice day-to-day, leads new-patient consults, and creates the Ask Nurse Rachel YouTube channel. She's a perimenopausal mom of four who treats the same hormone and energy issues her patients walk in with, and she has been on the receiving end of every wellness and aesthetic service Mint offers.

  • Lori Caruso

Aesthetician and Manager. Lori is the name patients keep writing about in their reviews. Her work spans Diamond Glow, dermaplane, microneedling, chemical peels, and custom facials, and reviewers consistently single her out by name for her expertise and the way she puts people at ease.

  • Nikki Goff, DNP

Nikki is the Nurse Practitioner at the center of most patients' care at Mint. She manages the wellness side, weight loss, BHRT, HRT, peptides, longevity, and health optimization, while also being a phenomenal aesthetic injector, which means the person reading your labs and adjusting your protocol is the same person who understands how it all shows up in your skin and your face. That combination is rare, and it is a big part of why Mint works the way it does.

  • Brooke Swanson

Office Manager. Brooke handles the front desk, manages bookings, answers your questions before your first visit, and personally responds to every Google review the clinic receives.

Who We Serve

Mint is for adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who have tried something already (a supplement, a gym, a prescription, a one-off treatment) and feel like the provider only addressed the one thing in front of them.

This is for you if:

  • You're noticing energy, sleep, weight, mood, or recovery changes you can't shake

  • You want hormone care that's built on labs, not a template

  • You're tired of medspas that book the appointment but never look at the bigger picture

  • You want one team for how you feel and how you look

  • You want a provider who picks up the phone, knows your story, and adjusts your plan as your body changes

  • You're done bouncing between providers who never compare notes

How We're Different

We run labs and biometrics before we recommend anything.

Most wellness clinics in the Quad Cities prescribe first and follow up later, if at all. We don't. Every plan at Mint is built on data that we collect, review, and explain to you.

Wellness and aesthetics are treated as one practice.

You don't have to drive to one place for hormones and another for Botox and another for weight loss. We do all of it, with the same team, in the same building, with the same plan running underneath.

Our patients bring their families.

Multi-generational family referrals are the way we grow. Patients trust Mint enough to bring in their spouses, parents, siblings, and adult kids. Some clients fly in from Florida or use telemedicine to stay on care year-round.

Education is free, on YouTube.

Rachel hosts Ask Nurse Rachel and walks viewers through hormones, peptides, weight loss medications, and aesthetic protocols. The same education our patients get inside the clinic is published openly for anyone who needs it.

Brooke answers every Google review personally.

The relationship doesn't end when you leave the room.
